St. Mark's offers ministries to children, youth, families and parents under the direction of our Youth and Family Ministry Coordinator, Sandra Walker.
Designed for kindergarten through 5th grade children with a variety of events that include fellowship, inspirational learning and service opportunities. These events teach children about the church calendar year through crafts and lessons for Advent, Christmas, Lent and Easter. Special dates such as All Hallows Eve, Advent, Christmas, Mardi Gras, St. Valentine's, Lenten Mid-Week Services, Palm and Easter Sunday are celebrated with age appropriate activities. Group trips or outings to age appropriate movies, plays or other entertainment builds Christian bonds and friendship and lays the foundation for future participation in Youth Group. Children are given special attention at the 10:45 AM worship service, when ages 4 - 9 gather for Children's Church or Service of the Word for Children, where the liturgical theme and Gospel for the Day is shared with the children in a colorful manner that they can understand and appreciate.
A group for the young adults of St. Mark's to socialize, once every other month. It's for couples and singles. Friends are always welcome to join in the fun. If you want to be added to our email list for upcoming events, please contact Lee & Susan Weber.
Coming soon! On Sunday, September 13 our YAG Bible study class will begin a new short term Disciple class through December “Invitation to Genesis”. If you are interested in joining us, please sign up on the Disciple display in the Narthex. It's free! This weekly class will be available to our young adult members of our congregation, including High School students who've been confirmed.
